Madrid, Spain, May 25, SPA -- A powerful car bomb exploded inMadrid Wednesday after a warning call from the armed Basqueseparatist group ETA, police said, in the latest of astring of attacks since Spain's prime minister offeredtalks with the group if it renounces violence. Three people were slightly injured, the city's emergencymedical department told Spanish news agencies. Theexplosion occurred at around 9:30 am (0730 GMT) in theworking-class San Blas district in the north of the Spanishcapital. Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, speaking in apreviously scheduled Senate session shortly after theexplosion, insisted that "the only fate that the terroristgroup ETA has is to lay down weapons and dissolve."
