Al-Quds city, April 28, SPA -- Russian President Vladimir Putin saidThursday that Iran must accept international supervision ofits nuclear activities. Putin spoke after a meeting with his Israeli counterpart,Moshe Katsav, the Associated Press reported. However, Putin insisted Thursday that Russia was onlyhelping Iran develop nuclear energy for peaceful use. "We cooperate with Iran only on its peaceful nuclearprogram," Putin said. "To refute the worries of theinternational community, we inserted clauses in ouragreement with them that they would return to Russia spentnuclear fuel from the electricity generator plant so thatthis material cannot be used for military means.
