Moscow, Dec 24, SPA -- The Russian military successfully test-fireda mobile version of its top-of-the line Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missile on Friday, officials said. The missile was fired from a mobile launcher at thePlesetsk launch pad in the northern region of Arkhangelskand hit a designated target on a testing range on the fareastern Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia's Strategic MissileForces said in a statement. Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, Economics Minister GermanGref and other top officials attended the launch. Friday's launch is expected to be the last of fourtest-firings of the Topol-M's mobile version before itsdeployment set for next year, the ITAR-Tass news agencyreported.
