Astana, Kazakhstan, Feb 9, SPA -- Kazakhstan's Parliament onWednesday approved an anti-extremism bill. The oil-rich country's government has said the bill isaimed at curbing the growing activity of religiousextremist groups in the country. The bill, approved by Parliament's lower house, theMajlis, names political parties and media among potentialsources of extremism. It allows the creation of a list ofextremist groups and their members, and gives courts in thecapital, Astana, the authority to designate a group asextremist.
