Manila, Philippines, Dec 4, SPA -- Two Libyans next week will joinan international team monitoring a cease-fire between thegovernment and Muslim separatists gin the southern Philippines, officials said Sunday. The Libyans will arrive Monday and join a 60-member teamof peacekeepers from Malaysia and Brunei authorized tomonitor a yearlong truce between Manila and the MoroIslamic Liberation Front, the Department of Foreign Affairssaid. The cease-fire is seen as crucial to upcomingMalaysian-brokered peace talks.
