Colombo, Sri Lanka, Jan 4, SPA -- The president of the World Bankwill visit Sri Lanka this weekend to view firsthand thedestruction caused by the Dec. 26 tsunamis that killed morethan 30,000 there, the bank said in a statement Tuesday. James Wolfensohn will arrive from Indonesia afterattending a special Association of Southeast Asian Nationsleaders' meeting on the crisis. "This is a crisis of massive proportion, requiring amassive response from the international community," saidWolfensohn. "I am traveling to the region to see formyself the extent of peoples' needs on the ground, and tohelp advance further the World Bank's response."
