Four police killed by remote-control bomb in southeastern

Afghanistan Kabul, Dec 16, SPA -- A remote-controlled bombexploded as a police patrol passed by on a road insoutheastern Afghanistan on Thursday, killing four officersand injuring two others, including a district police chief,a military official said. Khial Baz, commander of the Khost Division, said theincident occurred about 15 kilometers (10 miles) west ofKhost city. He blamed Taliban holdouts or their al-Qaidaallies. Nasur Allah, chief of police for the Ismail-Khil district,was wounded, but his injuries were not considered to belife-threatening.
