Beijing, Dec 16, SPA -- Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said on Thursday that the "experience of Iraq" showed the importance of taking multilateral action through the United Nations. "Tendencies of unilateral action, assertion of the doctrine of pre-emption and indifference to multilateralism... must be firmly discouraged," Aziz said in the speech at Tsinghua University, the alma mater of Chinese President Hu Jintao. "Deviation from U.N. principles would be a recipe for anarchy and lawlessness." Aziz met Wednesday with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao anddiscussed economic cooperation and joint anti-terrorefforts. He was scheduled to meet with Hu later Thursday.
