Wana, Sept 14, SPA -- Assailants fired rockets Tuesday ata Pakistani security forces base, killing a soldier andinjuring three others in a restive area where the troopshave been battling militants, an official said. Two rockets slammed into the army and paramilitary base inWana, the main town in the South Waziristan tribal region,an intelligence official in Wana said on condition ofanonymity. Troops fired machine guns and artillery from a nearby hilltoward where the rockets were launched, but it was notknown if the attackers suffered any casualties, he said.
