Berlin, Aug 14, SPA -- German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder has extended an invitation to Iraqi interim Prime Minister AyadAllawi to visit Berlin, which the leader has excepted, theGerman government said Saturday. A date has not yet been set for the visit, a governmentspokesman said on customary condition of anonymity. Allawi told "Der Spiegel" newsweekly that he expected totalk with Schroeder _ who opposed the war on Iraq _ aboutgetting help rebuilding the country, including forgivingIraqi debts. Germany now trains Iraqi police officers in the UnitedArab Emirates, and is considering extending training tomilitary personnel.
