Jakarta, Oct 5, SPA -- Two Indonesian women who hadbeen held hostage in Iraq were generally treated well bytheir kidnappers, although one was slapped when she refusedto answer questions, a Foreign Ministry spokesman saidTuesday. The two women were handed over to the United Arab EmiratesEmbassy in Baghdad late Monday. Abu Dhabi TV broadcastfootage of the pair in long black cloaks known as abayas,sitting quietly in a lounge at the embassy. They appearednervous but unhurt.
