Basra, Iraq, Sept 17, SPA -- Gunmen attacked two men who had been working with the British military, killing one and wounding another, police officials said Friday. Three gunmen entered the apartment where the two lived inBasra's southern neighborhood of Zeytoun and shot them,said police Capt. Alaa Khalil. He identified the woundedman as Amer Hamoudi. He did not reveal the identity of theslain man. Hamoudi said from his hospital bed that he works as atranslator for British forces. It was not clear what wasthe dead man's job.
