"The plight and suffering of the people of Palestine remains a tragic embodiment of the consequences of non-implementation of resolutions and the non-enforcement of decisions," Badawi said. Although Badawi throughout his speech promoted the United Nations as a viable body to resolve conflict, he said that there should be reforms of the organization itself, particularly in the Security Council.
