Baghdad, Iraq, Sept 20, SPa -- Gunmen opened fire on the car of a cleric belonging to the Association of Muslim Scholars, killing him, the group said Monday. The cleric, Sheik Hazem al-Zeidi, was killed late Sundayafter leaving a mosque in Baghdad's eastern slum of SadrCity, said Sheik Abdul-Sattar Abdul-Jabbar, a senior memberof the group. Two of Al-Zeidi's bodyguards were taken hostage, but werelater released.
