official news agency reports Amman, Oct 26, SPA -- Kidnappers released a Jordanianbusinessman Tuesday, two weeks after he was taken hostagein Iraq, the official Petra news agency reported. Ziad Jabr Abu Irfai is in the custody of the JordanianEmbassy in Baghdad and is expected to return home onTuesday evening, Petra said, quoting an unnamed ForeignMinistry official. Government officials were not immediately available forcomment. Irfai's father, Jabr Abu Irfai, told The Associated Presslast week that the kidnappers had demanded ransom ofUS$150,000 (euro120,300). It was not clear Tuesday if the ransom had been paid.
