Mannheim, Germany, Aug 23, SPA -- Spc. Charles Graner, the U.S. soldier identified in testimony as leader of the allegedabuse of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison, went beforea military judge on Monday for a pretrial hearing. Graner is among four soldiers facing hearings this week ata heavily secured U.S. military base in Mannheim. Spc.Megan Ambuhl's case was to be heard later Monday, whileStaff Sgt. Ivan Frederick and Spc. Javal Davis had hearingsset for Tuesday. As the hearing opened, the military court took up arequest by Graner's lawyers to suppress evidence, includingthe seizure of a computer.
