Berlin, Safar 6, 1436, Nov 28, 2014, SPA -- Chancellor Angel Merkel secured overwhelming parliamentary support on Friday for her plans to introduce Germany's first balanced budget in 46 years in 2015, dpa reported. The lower house of parliament, the Bundestag, backed her conservative-led coalition moves for balanced budgets - the so-called black zero - from next year by 474 votes to 113. One lawmaker abstained. "All of us and even those who follow us will be measured by this," Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said, describing it as "a commitment to the future." But Merkel's drive for Germany's first balanced budget since 1969 has come under fire from opposition members, who have called on Berlin to do more to spur economic growth both in Germany and the embattled eurozone. -- SPA 18:25 LOCAL TIME 15:25 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1300279
