Washington, Rabi'I 11, 1434, Jan 23, 2013, SPA - The White House Tuesday condemned the terrorist attack on an Algerian gas plant that killed 38 foreign workers, including three Americans. “First I’d like to say that the president extends his deepest condolences to the families of Victor Lovelady, Gordon Rowan, and Frederick Buttaccio, and all of those who were killed and injured in the terrorist attack in Algeria,” White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters. “The blame for this tragedy rests with the terrorists who carried it out, and the United States condemns their actions in the strongest possible terms," Carney said. The spokesman said that the United States will remain vigilant and work with the Algerian government, along with other international partners, to “gain a fuller understanding of what took place so that we can work together to prevent tragedies like this in the future.” --SPA 11:49 LOCAL TIME 08:49 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1071332
