Beirut, Safar 2, 1434, Dec 15, 2012, SPA - Syrian government troops have launched a major attack on areas held by opposing forces, south of the capital Damascus, opposition activists said Saturday. "The regime's troops (in Syria) are trying, under a barrage of heavy shelling, to storm Daraya from various directions," Haytham Al-Abdullah, a Damascus-based activist, told dpa.
