Geneva/Al-Quds City (Jerusalem), Sha'ban 26, 1433, Jul 16, 2012, SPA - Israel on Monday allowed 40 Gaza Strip Palestinians to visit relatives jailed in Israeli prisons for the first time in over five years, said prison officials and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The family visits are part of an agreement reached earlier this year between Israel and 1,600 hunger-striking Palestinians, to get the prisoners to end their fast. A total of 554 men whose families are from the Gaza Strip are still detained in Israeli prisons, according to a report of DPA. --SPA 13:52 LOCAL TIME 10:52 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1015827
