On the ground, activists reported heavy fighting and airstrikes in the northern province of Aleppo on Tuesday, according to a report of DPA. They said fighters are surrounding an area where the headquarters of the (Syrian) Air Defence intelligence is located. Activists also reported airstrikes for the second consecutive day on areas on the outskirts of Damascus.
