Beirut, Shawwal 18, 1433, Sep 5, 2012, SPA - Dozens were killed Wednesday when government troops shelled Aleppo, in the worst attack since fighting started over control of the northern city two months ago, Syrian activists said. "Aleppo is on fire," Bassam Al-Halabi, a Syrian activist, told dpa. He added that the government's sponsored bombardment of areas held by opposing fighters, was under way since the early hours of the day. The Syrian crisis was expected to top the agenda of Arab League foreign ministers at their meeting in Cairo later in the day.
