Baghdad/Beirut, Muharram 19, 1436, Nov 12, 2014, SPA -- Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi Wednes shook up the top commanders of the army, state media said, as the country is struggling to dislodge ISIS militants from its territory, dpa reported. Al-Abadi, who is also the general commander of the army, relieved 26 commanders of their posts and sent 16 into retirement, a statement from his office said. He also appointed 18 new commanders in posts in the Defence Ministry, the statement said without providing names.
