Washington, Jumada II 10, 1433, May 1, 2012, SPA - U.S. President Barack Obama and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda Monday denounced aggressive acts by North Korea following its recent failed rocket launch. Speaking to reporters following the meeting between the two leaders at the White House, Obama said that North Korea is working from a position of weakness, not strength. Noda said the rocket launch undermined diplomacy to contain Pyongyang’s nuclear ambitions. Obama said that the United States and Japan are unified in insisting that North Korea abide by its international responsibilities. The Japanese prime minister was visiting Washington to reaffirm Japan’s strong alliance with the United States. --SPA 11:22 LOCAL TIME 08:22 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/993983
