London, Muharram 4, 1433, Nov 29, 2011, SPA - Britain will host an international conference in February which seeks to mobilize international support for measures aimed at addressing the lack of stability and the spread of piracy in Somalia, including the increased humanitarian aid and economic support. In a statement issued here yesterday, British Foreign Secretary William Hague said that British Prime Minister David Cameron will host the meeting on February 23 (2012) in London. "We believe that now is the time to achieve an intensive international action on Somalia," Hague said. He pointed out that Somalia is a major theater for humanitarian sufferings because of piracy and terrorism, adding that this exacerbated the crisis in this country, and presented a global security risk. --SPA 11:58 LOCAL TIME 08:58 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/947751
