Washington, Jumada II 24, 1433, May 15, 2012, SPA - U.S. Deputy Secretary Thomas Nides will travel to Mexico to focus on global tourism, and bilateral and regional economic cooperation and prosperity, the State Department said Monday. “In Mexico City, Deputy Secretary Nides will meet with Mexican government officials and business leaders to discuss the U.S.-Mexico economic relationship. He will also deliver remarks at the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America ‘Business Futures of Latin America’ conference, and participate in a Health Care Technology, Policy, and Trade Mission reception,” the department said in a statement. “In Merida and Cancun, Deputy Secretary Nides will represent the United States at the G20 Tourism Ministerial (T20), and discuss U.S. tourism and travel promotion efforts at the World Travel and Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Americas Summit.
