United Nations, Muharram 12, 1433, Dec 7, 2011, SPA - U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday welcomed Indonesia’s decision to ratify the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) and encouraged other nuclear technology states to follow their example. With Indonesia’s ratification, 36 of the 44 states with nuclear programs have now ratified the treaty and, overall, 156 states have. The remaining eight countries with nuclear programs who have not ratified the treaty are Egypt, India, Iran, Israel, North Korea, Pakistan and the United States.
