Al-Quds city, Jan 3, SPA -- Israeli police detained a Palestinianpolitician at the entrance to Al-Quds walled Old Cityon Tuesday and questioned him on suspicion of illegallycampaigning for upcoming parliamentary elections. Police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said independentcampaigner Mustafa Barghouti, a West Bank resident, wasstopped at the Old City's Damascus Gate and taken forquestioning at police headquarters.
