Prince Faisal made his remarks during the Kingdom’s speech at the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership in Amman on Tuesday. He said: “The Kingdom affirms its stand with Iraq to maintain its stability, preserve its sovereignty, support its development efforts, restore its historical status as a land of civilization, and advance it to a new stage.” The minister stressed that the Kingdom will spare no effort to support Iraq"s economic and development process based on its full belief that its development and prosperity are closely linked to the growth and prosperity of its neighbors and the region as a whole. “The Kingdom"s Middle East Green, Saudi Green Initiatives and the Green Belt Project in Iraq constitute an important area of cooperation aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two countries.” He added: “The Kingdom views with great appreciation the positive interaction of Iraq in strengthening the potential for development and regional cooperation, which will reflect positively on its prosperity.” “The Kingdom affirms that it stands united with its brothers in Iraq in the fight against terrorism and extremism and all those who seek destruction, destruction and inciting divisions,” he said.
