Emir of Madinah Prince Faisal bin Salman has announced that the first partnership project between the Ministry of Health and the private sector will be awarded soon to build a premier hospital at the site of Rua Al-Madinah. He said the project will replace Al-Ansar Hospital as its building is in a dilapidated state. Addressing the opening dialogue session of the Madinah Projects Exhibition, titled MEDEX 2022, the emir underlined that Al-Ansar Hospital needed to be included in the Rua Al-Madinah project, and land for the construction of the hospital was allotted at the project site close to the Prophet’s Mosque. The project will be developed by Rua Al-Madinah Holding Co., which is wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund. The dialogue session also witnessed the signing of 10 agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoU) to advance the development and enhance the quality of life in Madinah. These included the development of communities; the management and development of the palace project; the establishment of investment funds worth SR1billion; the launch of a solidarity company to privatize individual transportation services; a partnership contract to develop the Food City project, and management and development contract for the Darb Al-Alia project. There are also memoranda of understanding to discuss opportunities for developing slums and to establish real estate funds in Madinah, in addition to a memorandum of cooperation with the Autism Families Association.
