A four-year-old boy has died at a Center Parcs resort in Wiltshire. A statement issued by Wiltshire police said they had attended the Longleat Forest holiday park just after 11am. The resort operator said earlier on Saturday that there had been a “serious medical incident” at a swimming pool at the site near Warminster. The Longleat centre has a “subtropical swimming paradise” facility. It is understood that the pool has been evacuated and closed. The incident is not being treated as suspicious. “Our thoughts are with the boy’s family at this difficult time,” a police spokesperson said. Center Parcs said in a statement: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic news that a young guest has passed away at Longleat Forest today. We are offering our support to the family and to our employees who provided immediate assistance. “Our thoughts remain with the family at this very difficult time.”
