MAKKAH: The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is improving services to accommodate the influx of pilgrims and guests, with a focus on Friday prayers. The authority aims to ensure a smooth experience for pilgrims performing religious duties on the busiest day of the week at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. The most prolific service provided to worshipers at the mosque on Fridays came in providing spatial guidance to non-Arabic speakers, which benefited 55,728 people. The Friday sermon was translated into several languages and offered on 2,800 translation devices. The presidency also provided 112,320 Zamzam water bottles to keep pilgrims hydrated. In continuing with the sanitation efforts, authorities used 2,550 liters of freshener products and 130,000 liters of disinfectants to clean facilities. Sterilization machines also provided 2,550 liters of hand sanitizer to pilgrims. Islamic booklets and pamphlets were distributed to 2,050 worshipers. About 750 people used the library at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. For safety purposes, 325 small children were provided wrist bracelets, and 1,820 beneficiaries benefited from social and humanitarian services.
