Saudi citizen Mazen Al-Juhani succeeded in saving the life of a child from floods in Madinah. According to Al-Ekhbariya, Al-Juhani, a soldier in the Special Emergency Forces, said that he responded to a call from his nephew while he was in the house. She told him that a kid was struggling and stuck in the torrents. He immediately went to the area where the child was, saw that the child was stuck in a rocky area in the stream in the Al-Azizia neighborhood of Madinah. He said, that all indications were that the child had fallen and got stuck for hours in the middle of rainwater pools. Due to Al-Juhani"s experience and practice in the field of rescue, he was able to successfully save the child in less than half an hour. He said that his hand was injured during the rescue attempt. “When I descended into the valley, I slipped, and hurt my hand. But the safety and survival of the child is of utmost important, and I soldiered on and succeeded,” he stressed. He said that when he reached the child, all he saw was a frightened and shivering child following his long ordeal in the cold water. “I talked to him, calmed him down and only after winning his confidence that I was able to save him,” he added. The rescue attempt and the eventual rescue got traction in social media. The video of the moment Al-Juhani rescuing the child from the floods, with the help of the people of the neighborhood in the rescue operation, went viral and received great interaction.
