Brig. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, spokesman of the Arab Coalition Forces, said that the Houthi militia’s allegations about Coalition’s shelling on the Yemeni border districts of Monabbih and Shada as well as about the civilian casualties are baseless. Al-Maliki stated that the command of the joint forces of the Coalition supports all efforts to establish and continue the truce that ended on Oct. 2, 2022. The command also exercises highest levels of restraint in light of the continued violations of the Houthi militia on the borders and the Yemeni interior regions by its elements that are undisciplined and out of control. “What is being circulated in the media comes within the context of the ongoing Houthi allegations in areas under its control, which represent hotspots for disputes and liquidations of organized crime groups, such as smuggling, drug trafficking and human trafficking, which are managed by leaders and affiliated elements.”
