الرياض.. فدوى عبد الحي أجمع أعضاء المجلس التنفيذي لصندوق النقد الدولي على اختيار المدير التنفيذي للمملكة العربية السعودية لدى الصندوق الأستاذ عبدالله بن فهد بن زرعه، رئيساً للجنة اختيار أعضاء التدقيق المخصصة وعضواً للجنة التقييم التابعتين للمجلس التنفيذي، وذلك حتى 31 أكتوبر 2024م. وتهدف لجنة اختيار أعضاء التدقيق المخصصة إلى التوصية بمرشح مناسب كعضو جديد في لجنة التدقيق الخارجي التي تشرف على التدقيق الخارجي لصندوق النقد الدولي، والتدقيق الداخلي، والمحاسبة المالية وإعداد التقارير، وإدارة المخاطر ووظائف الرقابة الداخلية؛ حيث إن أعضاء لجنة التدقيق الخارجي تستمر تعييناتهم الدورية لمدة ثلاث سنوات. وتضم لجنة اختيار أعضاء التدقيق المخصصة في عضويتها الحالية المديرين التنفيذيين لكل من: إيطاليا، وأستراليا، والمكسيك، وفنلندا. أما لجنة التقييم فتهدف إلى متابعة مهمة التقييم في الصندوق عن كثب وإسداء المشورة إلى المجلس التنفيذي بشأن المسائل المتعلقة بالتقييمات، بما في ذلك تلك المتعلقة بمكتب التقييم المستقل، وهو المكتب المسؤول عن إجراء تقييمات مستقلة وموضوعية لسياسات الصندوق وأنشطته وفق جدول الأعمال المتعلق بالمواضيع التي يتم تقييمها، ويتم تحديث هذا الجدول بشكل دوري. وإضافة إلى المدير التنفيذي للمملكة تضم هذه اللجنة في عضويتها حالياً المديرين التنفيذيين لكل من: كندا، والمملكة المتحدة، وألمانيا، وإيطاليا، والمكسيك، وسنغافورة، وزيمبابوي. ويعكس هذا الاختيار المكانة التي تحظى بها المملكة عالمياً، وثقة المجلس بقدرة المدير التنفيذي للمملكة على دعم الجهود المبذولة والمساهمة الفعالة في تسيير شؤون التدقيق الداخلي وإدارة المخاطر بما يسهم في إنجاز أعمال هاتين اللجنتين بالشكل المأمول. يذكر أن المجلس التنفيذي لصندوق النقد الدولي يضم 24 عضواً يمثلون الدول الأعضاء البالغ عددها 190 دولة، ويدعمه خبراء الصندوق، ويتولى الإشراف على أعمال الصندوق اليومية. Selection of Abdullah bin Zarah as Chairman of the “Ad Hoc Audit Selection Committee” and a member of the “Evaluation” Committee of the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund The members of the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) unanimously agreed to select the Executive Director of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the IMF, Mr. Abdullah bin Zarah, as Chairman of the Ad Hoc Audit Selection Committee (ASC) and as a member of the Evaluation Committee (EVC) of the Executive Board, until October 31, 2024. The Ad Hoc Audit Selection Committee aims to recommend a suitable candidate as a new member of the External Audit Committee (EAC) that oversees the IMF’s external audit, internal audit, financial accounting and reporting, risk management and internal control functions. Whereas, the members of the External Audit Committee continue their periodic appointments for a period of three years. The Ad Hoc Audit Selection Committee includes in its current membership the Executive Directors of: Italy, Australia, Mexico and Finland. The Evaluation Committee aims to follow closely the evaluation function of the IMF and to advise the Executive Board on matters related to evaluations, including those relating to the Independent Evaluation Office (IEO), which is responsible for conducting independent and objective evaluations of the IMF’s policies and activities. The office has an agenda on the topics that are evaluated, and this schedule is updated periodically. In addition to the Executive Director of the Kingdom, this committee currently includes in its membership the Executive Directors of: Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Singapore and Zimbabwe. This selection reflects the position enjoyed by the Kingdom globally, and the Board’s confidence in the ability of the Executive Director of the Kingdom to support the efforts made and effectively contribute to the conduct of internal auditing and risk management, which contributes to the completion of the work of these two committees. It is noteworthy that the Executive Board of the IMF includes 24 members representing the 190 member countries, supported by the IMF’s experts, and supervises the daily work of the IMF.
