Saudi Horseback Archery Team Qualifies for 2023 World Cup

Riyadh, January 20, 2024, SPA— The Saudi horseback archery team has qualified for the 2023 World Horseback Archery Championship, after winning first place in the qualifying games that were held in South Africa with the participation of 12 countries. The Saudi “green shooters” team was represented by knights Abdulmalek Al-Khuraif, Mohammad Al-Dhafyan, Abdulhameed Al-Aboud, and Hishsm Al-Tamimi, who were trained by coach Fahd Rashid al-Khuraif. At the qualifying games in South Africa, the Saudi knight Al-Khuraif was named the individual rounds champion with the highest overall score after he won the first place in the Mongolian round, the sequential round, and the Russian round. The Saudi knight Muhammad Al-Dhafyan won third place in the Persian round and in the plate course. Teammates Abdul Hameed Al-Aboud and Muhammad Al-Dhafyan won second and third places, respectively.
