Riyadh, Dec 19, 2022, SPA --The Minister of Education, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan and the Minister of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Business Center, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, inaugurated the Center's branch at the Ministry of Education in Riyadh. The Head of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence " SADAIA" Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, took part in the inaugural ceremony in the presence of a number of leaders of government agencies and investors in the private education sector. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the signing of a number of agreements between government agencies to empower the private education sector, and improve the investment requirements in the sector. In addition, the center aims to the Ministry of education to expand the investment operations of real estate allocated as educational facilities and to offer them to the private sector through the investment gate “FURAS” in Saudi cities. The launch of the new branch is part of initiatives aimed at achieving the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030. These include strengthening partnerships with private education sector investors and giving them the opportunity to take part in developing the educational system to meet the requirements of development and the needs of the labor market. The Minister of Education emphasized that the business community is an active partner in providing educational services and products in line with the future goals of education. He pointed out that the opening of the Saudi Business Center branch at the ministry’s headquarters is part of the ministry's efforts to support and develop education and carry out its development plans, along with promoting educational investments and realize the national objectives set by the Saudi Vision 2030 for the future of the country and the welfare of its citizens. He added that the Ministry of Education hopes, through the new branch, to facilitate the journey of investors in the private education sector, in addition to helping to raise the percentage of investment in the education sector by improving the efficiency and quality of government services provided to them. He emphasized that the center integrates with the relevant authorities to provide more than 750 government services that make it easier for investors from inside and outside the Kingdom to start and practice their economic businesses. The most prominent of these is simplifying the procedures and requirements for licensing educational economic activities in support of the positive role of the private sector in the educational process. Al-Benyan mentioned in his speech's conclusion how the public-private partnership had been successful in the past period, leading to the construction, operation, and maintenance of numerous educational facilities in the governorates and cities of the Kingdom, including the opening of 120 schools in Makkah and Madinah that could accommodate more than 102 thousand students. --SPA 12:48 LOCAL TIME 09:48 GMT 0009 www.spa.gov.sa/w1828355
