Riyadh, Dec 07, 2022, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet’s session held at Al-Yamama palace here today, Wednesday, the 13th of Jumada Al-Awwal 1444 Hijri, corresponding to the 7th of December 2022 on the state's general budget for the fiscal year 1444/1445 Hijri (2023). At the outset of the session, verses from the Holy Qur’an were recited, then the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques delivered the following speech: "In the name of Allah, the Merciful Praise be to Allah the Almighty, and Prayers and Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah With the help and success of Allah the Almighty, we announce the state's general budget for the next year, asking Allah the Almighty to perpetuate the blessing of security and prosperity on our homeland. May the peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you". Following the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Cabinet's session proceeded under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who extended the Cabinet's thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his grace to honor the Cabinet on the announcement of the state’s general budget for the fiscal year 1444/1445 Hijri (2023). Then, the Cabinet reviewed the items of the budget, and issued its decision regarding the state’s general budget for the fiscal year 1444/1445 Hijri (2023), which includes the following: 1- Revenues are estimated at (SR1,130,000,000,000) one trillion one hundred thirty billion Saudi riyals. 2- Expenses shall be approved in the amount of (SR1,114,000,000,000) one trillion one hundred fourteen billion Saudi riyals. 3- The surplus is estimated at (SR16,000,000,000) sixteen billion Saudi riyals. HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister directed the ministers and officials, each in his jurisdiction, to actively commit to implementing the development and social programs as well as projects included in the budget. --SPA 00:26 LOCAL TIME 21:26 GMT 0001 www.spa.gov.sa/w1823589
