Muscat, January 26, 2023, SPA -- A delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, headed by the acting Undersecretary of the Industrial Development and General Supervisor of the Industrial Empowerment Undersecretariat at the Ministry, Eng. Al-Badr bin Adel Fodah, visited the Sultanate of Oman to discuss aspects of cooperation, exchange experiences, and benefit from experiences in the development of the industrial sector between the two countries. The delegation reviewed the Kingdom's experience in implementing the Future Factories Initiative, which aims to keep pace with the technical trends and applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the programs related to the integration of supply chains in accordance with the unified industrial strategy among the GCC countries, including joint investment in the industrial sector and stimulating the private sector to participate in investment in the industrial sector between the two countries. The delegation's discussions with their counterparts in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in Oman touched on the directions of the industrial and mineral wealth system in the Kingdom to enhance the process of integrating the work of the Industrial Cooperation Committee in the GCC countries, and to highlight the advantages of integrating industrial supply chains between industrial establishments among the member states, in order to contribute effectively in achieving a high degree of external cooperation between the GCC countries to ensure an increase in added value in the GCC markets and to create a competitive advantage in light of global competition.
