ZTC Conference in Riyadh to Hold 16 Dialogue Sessions with Participation of Ministers, Experts

Riyadh, January 16, 2023, SPA -- "Zakat, Tax, and Customs (ZTC)" conference, to be held in Riyadh on February 8-9, will include 16 dialogue sessions with the participation of Saudi and non-Saudi ministers, officials, and specialists, to discuss global experiences in the zakat, tax and customs fields, and to discuss the future of digitizing these sectors, facilitating trade and protecting national security. The conference, organized by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), will be held under the slogan "An Integrated Digital System to Sustain the Economy and Enhance Security". On its first day, a dialogue session entitled "Tackling the Shadow Economy Using Digital Solutions" will be held with the participation of Minister of Finance, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, and Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadhel Al-Ibrahim, in addition to a session entitled "An Investment-Friendly Logistics Environment (Transparency and Efficiency)" with the participation of Minister of Transport and Logistics, Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Investment, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, and the Secretary-General of the World Customs Organization, Dr. Kunio Mikuriya. Umberto de Brito, Secretary General of the International Road Transport Union (IRU), will participate in a session themed "Prosperity through a Safe and Efficient Transport System", while Pranab Kumar Das, Director of Compliance and Facilitation at the World Customs Organization, Abdullah Al-Naim, Deputy Governor for Security Affairs at ZATCA, Faraz Khalid, CEO of Noon Company, Dr. Mishari Al-Mishari, Deputy Director of the National Information Center, and Sami Al-Saqr, Vice President for Operations at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, will participate in a session titled "The Role of Customs between Security and Trade Facilitation." Among the key sessions that will be held during the second day of the conference are "Trends and Challenges in Transaction Pricing", "Authorized Economic Operator as a Supply Chain Tool", and "Tax Incentives: The End or the Beginning" in addition to working papers that will be presented on "Electronic Invoicing", and "Breaking in two hours." Through discussing these topics, ZATCA aims to exchange experiences and ideas between participants from all around the world and to strengthen relations between stakeholders and those interested in their various categories.
