Tabuk, November 14, 2022, SPA -- The Red Sea Development Company, the developer of two of the world's most ambitious renewable projects - the Red Sea and Amaala destinations - has announced the purchase of a fleet of electric buses that represent the first phase of its adoption of a smart and sustainable mobility network in the Red Sea destination. With these agreements signed with leading companies in smart electric mobility in the world, RSG has become the first owner of a fleet of carbon-neutral smart buses in the Kingdom, which is a qualitative leap in the Saudi transportation and car manufacturing sector. CEO of TRSDC John Pagano, said that the company has taken upon itself the task of setting new standards for renewable development, and the implementation of its ambitious plans with carbon-neutral operations represents a major part of achieving these goals, hence its adoption of a smart, environmentally friendly and carbon-free transportation strategy. He added, "TRSDC is fortunate to work with global manufacturers and operators that share their ambitious vision to reshape the concept of renewable tourism by leading the regional and global transformation in the sustainable transport sector with energy efficiency." The "Red Sea" destination development plans are proceeding per the timetable set to welcome its first visitors in 2023, once the first group of hotels opens the first phase of the development of the destination, with more than 50% of the first phase has been completed, and many of its major assets already operating at full operational capacity, including the management hotel for the company's four-star staff, administrative offices in the destination, and the largest landscaping nursery in the Middle East. Once completed, the "Red Sea" destination will include 50 resorts, 8,000 hotel rooms, and more than 1,000 residential properties across 22 islands and six inland locations. The destination will also include an international airport, a luxury marina, a golf course, and leisure and retail facilities.
