Geneva, December 07, 2022, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the Global Refugee Forum, which kicked off today in Geneva, Switzerland, and will continue for two days, with the participation of ministers, state officials and UN senior officials. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation was led by Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, in the presence of the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva Ambassador Abdulmohsen bin Khothaila. During the forum, Dr. Al Rabeeah affirmed the Kingdom's keenness to support refugees and displaced persons and provide everything that would alleviate their suffering and improve their livelihoods, as it is one of the largest donor countries in the world. He added that the Kingdom hosts more than one million refugees from Yemen, Syria and the Rohingya, and provided them with job opportunities as well as health, educational and other services free of charge. It also provided them with excellent and free health care during the Coronavirus pandemic, in addition to the contributions it provided for the benefit of the refugees, the displaced people and the communities hosting them around the world.
