Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is progressing steadily in all fields to achieve comprehensive renaissance and taking the means to upgrade the gross domestic product (GDP) in the light of its vision 2030, which aims to find sustainable diversification for achieving prosperity. In this context, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who is also the Chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced the launch of Ceer, the first Saudi brand to manufacture electric vehicle in Saudi Arabia, the paper said . Such unprecedented step will effectively contribute to reducing carbon emissions and preserving the environment in order to promote sustainable development, the paper further said. The step of launching Ceer company reflects the wise leadership's interest in the industrial sector to diversify sources of income, enable strategic sectors and attract local and global investments, the paper added. The step will also contribute to the creation of many job opportunities for the Saudi youth and providing new opportunities for the private sector to drive economic growth, the paper further added.
