Saudi Arabia's Embassy in United States Participates in Cat Walk Initiative on Wild Cats Conservation

Washington, Nov 5, 2022, SPA -- Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s embassy in the United States of America has participated in the 2nd edition of the global initiative “Cat Walk” organized by the Catmosphere organization concerned with supporting initiatives to conserve endangered wild cats, in the presence of Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi ambassador to the United States of America, and a number of embassy staff in Washington. The participation included a number of embassy staff walking a distance of 7 kilometers in order to raise awareness and encourage the conservation of wild cats, especially the Arabian leopard, which the Kingdom made great efforts to protect from extinction and return it to its natural environment, as part of the programs of the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU). In a press statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the official spokesperson for the Saudi embassy in Washington, Fahd Nazer, confirmed that the staff of embassy's participation in the initiative comes with the support, encouragement and directives of Princess Reema, the Kingdom’s ambassador to the United States with the aim of supporting the protection of 40 species of endangered wild cats and stressing the importance of conserving them in their natural environment, pointing out that the event aims primarily to raise awareness of the importance of conserving endangered wild cats all over the world. --SPA 01:42 LOCAL TIME 22:42 GMT 0003 www.spa.gov.sa/w1809196
