Riyadh, November 13, 2022, SPA -- The Taekwondo Grand Prix finals, which will take place in Riyadh from December 8 to 10, will feature competitors from 79 different nations. Due to the fact that entry into the event is determined by qualifying cards and the player's point total from competing in other tournaments held by the International Taekwondo Federation throughout the year, these finals represent the biggest and most significant annual sporting event on the history of the organization. Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, expressed his thanks and gratitude the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH the Crown Prince for their support of the sports industry and role in elevating the Kingdom among the world's most developed sports nations, adding that the choice of the Kingdom to host these championships shows that the international sports community has confidence in the Kingdom's ability to stage the biggest events. He said: "This hosting boosts and increases the Kingdom's prospects of hosting the biggest and most significant worldwide events, in keeping with the goals of the sports sector under the Kingdom's Vision 2030," adding that it is an opportunity for Saudi athletes to develop their skills and meet the requirements to compete at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. --SPA 20:18 LOCAL TIME 17:18 GMT 0027 www.spa.gov.sa/w1812821
