Health Ministry Signs Agreement to Provide Medical Services in Treating Stroke Remotely

Riyadh, November 29, 2022, SPA -- The Ministry of Health, represented by Seha Virtual Hospital and the Innovation Empowerment Center, yesterday signed a cooperation agreement with a local company to provide virtual medical services in treating stroke remotely. The agreement aims to cooperate in the field of artificial intelligence by supporting the provision of communications medicine service to several hospitals by connecting them to the Seha Virtual Hospital and providing training for the stroke team to treat stroke patients remotely, through delivering lectures, and providing workshops and simulations, as well as cooperation in the use of modern technologies and share supporting experiences in artificial intelligence, to help diagnose some rare diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients. This agreement is part of the Ministry of Health’s efforts to support the provision of virtual healthcare in many precise and rare disciplines while facilitating access procedures, as well as supporting the building up of knowledge capacities and sharing health expertise in line with the goals of the national transformation and the Saudi Vision 2030. --SPA 13:51 LOCAL TIME 10:51 GMT 0010 www.spa.gov.sa/w1819823
