Algiers, November 01, 2022, SPA -- Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), stressed the importance of the Arab Summit in fostering collective Arab action to address issues in light of regional and global concerns. This came during his participation in the 31st regular session of the Arab League's Council at the summit level, which will start its work today in the Democratic Republic of Algeria, with the participation of a number of leaders and representatives of Arab countries. Al-Hajraf expressed his hope that the Arab Summit in Algeria would signal the beginning of a new phase based on a shared understanding of addressing security and stability challenges, joint Arab action, and cooperation in all areas, particularly in the areas of recovering from the implications of the Corona pandemic, improving food security, fighting terrorism, and addressing interference in the affairs of the Arab countries, defending their interests, and supporting development.
