Riyadh, Oct. 18, 2022, SPA -- President of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Professor Tony Chan said today that artificial intelligence is the world's new mathematics that would turn human kind to become more efficient and enjoying better life. In remarks on the first session of AI Summit Podcast program, launched by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) Professor Chan cast light on a number of issues related to AI technologies in the Kingdom and the world at large, citing the contribution of KAUST in this regard including the advances in the AI science of today and its impact on business and humanitarian aspects of life. In an interview with Hussam Al-Mayman, Chan said the second version of SDAIA summit is a great investment in AI and an integral part of the Kingdom vision 2030 which is interested in investment in technology and developing the human capital, noting that AI is a factor for empowering the people for other things, including the facial recognition, facilitating the self-leadership project in cities, and business administration through recognizing agents promptly. He said collecting macro data enables the AI to play a role in improving dealing with it . When you merge data with AI technologies, this will help them to ameliorate business, he explained. We want to develop achieve pioneership at the state-of-the-art and we don't want to purchase technology but to invent it, he added.
