Jakarta, Sep. 25, 2022, SPA -- Vice President of the Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry Eng. Tareq Al-Haidari, here to attend the Saudi Indonesian Business Forum meetings, today called for conducting a four-track working plan to enhance Saudi Indonesian economic relations. The plan covers access of Saudi and Indonesian products to the two markets; establishing joint projects; exchange of investment information and opportunities; and eliminating obstacles and overcoming challenges facing businesses between the two countries. Addressing the fourm, which was held in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta coinciding with the participation of Saudi Arabia's delegation led by Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Commission for Foreign Trade Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Gasabi in the G20 ministerial Trade, Investment and Industry working category in Bali, Al-Haidari confirmed the existence of promising opportunities and potentials for economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, two influential economic forces within the G20, particularly in view of the Kingdom's vision 2030 which has laid the foundation for a good exchange between the economies of the two countries. Despite the fact that the trade exchange size between the two countries is still laging behind compared to their economic capabilities and capacities, it has increased by 37 perent in 2021 compared to the year before, amounting to 92,1 billion Saudi Riyal over the last five years. For his part, the Saudi ambassador to Indonesia Isam Al-Thaqafi spoke, during the event which was attended by representatives of 55 Saudi enterprises, about the Saudi Indonesian relations dating back in history and enjoys strong support of the leaderships of the two countries. --SPA 01:16 LOCAL TIME 22:16 GMT 0002 www.spa.gov.sa/w1789785
