Riyadh, October 24, 2022, SPA -- The Royal Saudi Navy has announced the list of speakers at the 2nd Saudi International Maritime Forum, which is scheduled to be held between November 15 and 17 in Jeddah. The list includes more than 37 speakers representing commanders and heads of institutions concerned with the marine environment and naval forces of 14 brotherly and friendly countries, in addition to specialists, military experts and academia who will share speakers at sessions and workshops of the forum. Top speakers at the forum include Chief of the Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy Admiral Muhammed Niazi; Commander, U.S. Naval Forces, Central Command/Commander, FIFTH Fleet and Commander, Combined Maritime Forces VADM Brad Cooper; CTF 150 COMMAND of Bahrain CDRE Abdullah Almutairi; Commander, Combined Task Force Sentinel in Bahrain CDRE Ben Aldous; and UK Maritime Component Commander/Deputy Commander Combined Maritime Forces CDRE Adrian Fryer. During the forum, speakers will address five main strategic aspects, where the first session will discuss "The Evolution of Anti-Unmanned Systems", while the second session will go over "Military Alliances and Their Role in Facing The Threat of Unmanned System". The third session will tackle "The Use of Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security to Protect Against Unmanned Systems", while speakers in the fourth session will discuss "Collaboration Between Military and Civilian Sectors to Protect Against Unmanned Naval Systems", before holding the fifth session on "Protection of Infrastructure and Energy Sources". The forum will be held under the theme "Protection against Unmanned Systems" with the aim of exchanging views, discussing challenges facing marine units and coastal vital sites and means to protect them, means to deal with threats and their impacts on the global economy and ensuring the safety of marine passages.
